GRADE DISTINCTION

MTG offers a variety of weft extensions and other products that fall under different grades, based on the level of processing and length sorting that the virgin hair has gone through. Most of our products are available in any grade distinction, including weft extensions, clips, wigs, frontals, closures and tips.

Remy Single Drawn (RSD) RSD hair is the best quality premium human hair available. Each selection has been sourced from one donor, all the cuticles are intact and you will notice each selection of RSD has a natural taper at the end. Each selection of RSD virgin hair has undergone a stringent quality assurance process to ensure it is free of imperfections. This product can last well up to a year with proper care–all weft extensions will withstand multiple installations.

Remy Medium Drawn (RMD) RMD hair is a specialized premium hair product. Each selection has been sourced from onedonor, all the cuticles are intact and the ratio of short hairs is lower than than RSD. RMD is a product for customers who want the quality of Remy hair in a product with similar lengths. This product can last well up to a year with proper care–all weft extensions will withstand multiple installations.

• Available in Colored / Processed form
• Systems: Bulk; Weft Extensions: Machine, Hand and Clips; Wigs, frontals and closures; Tips (U, V, I and Nail)
• Patterns: Natural Straight, Wavy, Curly and Steam Permed selections

NRDD (New Remy Double Drawn) / Non Remy NRDD is collected from multiple sources. In raw form the cuticles are intact but they flow in opposite direction. In processed form (New Remy) the cuticles are descaled. With NRDD selections you have the same thickness from top to bottom and all hairs will be similar lengths–all weft extensions will withstand multiple installations.

• Available in raw / unprocessed state for customers who do custom processing and weft extension conversion. NRDD is also available as processed finished and colored product.

When considering which grade distinction for your weft extensions or other products is right for you, there are several factors to keep in mind:

Pricing:  The level of processing and quality of the final product is key in determining the price of our products. Higher quality products are offered at a premium due to our stringent quality assurance process and guaranteed longevity. In the case of weft extensions (wether for weaving or for conversion into clip-in units), the grade distinction will help determine the final price for your customers.

Fullness:  Weft extensions–typically used for either weaving or for conversion into clip-in sets or units–and tips are the most common type of hair extensions. The fullness from root to tip (a result of sorting the hair to keep all lengths similar) is a personal preference of the end-user and should also be considered when choosing a grade distinction to offer as an attribute to your weft extensions or tips.

Longevity:  Remy selections possess more longevity for permanent extensions (weft extensions or tips) due to the cuticle being intact. With continuous use in a weft extension application, remy selections can be expected to last up to 1 year where new remy (descaled) is expected to last between 3 and 6 months.
